I love this. It just resonates. Especially the last few stanzas but just the whole thing. It's a point of womanhood that we're blamed for everything and supposed to be pure while men get to have all the fun. Seems like as a collective we are just so sick of the double standard.

I do indeed feel a little sick about a lot of things growing up, but I find joy in raising my daughters differently. They are louder in ways I never dared, and that does heal a good portion of things for me 💛
I love that! I also have a daughter who I'm trying to allow to express herself freely in ways I never could. She should be able to choose what she wants to be interested in without being pushed in one direction. I really believe we can raise the next generation to be happier and more self assured.
