With this story and the last, it feels like you have tapped right into my deepest self, thoughts, fears, situations and laid them bare on your pages.

It shows I'm not alone, which is a blessing but also left me exposed and raw in a way I wasn't ready to face when I sat down to read.

Your ability to gently dig right to the heart of a matter is wonderful.

Thank you

Some chapters definitely are harder to write than others, especially the ones with an elder sister character 💛

Have a hug, just in case you need one 🥹

I can only imagine how difficult it could be!

Thank you for the hug, for sure in need of one of those. Giving you one right back

I love that plant. Omg - and I don’t know if this was intentional - but each chapter reads like a short story - Iike it could stand on its own. You give enough backstory/description that a reader could be ensnared on Chapter 5 (like me lol).

What I’m trying to say is, great work on the prose! 💕

Thank you so much for reading! Quiet Little Journeys is indeed a short story collection, and each story builds on the one before. However, I do make sure that they can be read as standalone stories, so however you read them and wherever you start, most things should be resolved within each story.

Absolutely thrilled you enjoyed it! 🥹💛

We have all been Merete at some point, right. And then some of us have been Orrin too.. One loving too much to a point of exhaustion and suffocation while the other choose to leave, with the intent to breathe. I have a feeling that this sudden shifts in the shops usual goings is a hint of something more to come, which makes me excited.

I suppose, when it comes to Merete and Orrin, it’s a bit like pick your poison. Not sure which one I’d be taking

Wow. Just wow. I was hooked right from the start by a cute talking plant with an existential crisis, but now I am having my own crisis about love. This was such a good read and also resonates with something I was talking with a friend about last night.

This story also reminds me a lot of before the coffee gets cold and what you’re looking for is in the library.

Thanks for sharing this 🖤

Thank you so much for taking the time to read (sorry for the crisis about love 🥹). I absolutely love Before The Coffee Gets Cold. The Lantern of Lost Memories is also a good read. Both of them are a frequent read for me so I’m absolutely awed to read that my silly little story reminded you of it. Thank you so so much!
