Illo exhaled slowly, shooting a glare at the stairs behind him.
“Dipshit.” He muttered. “That was rude, honestly. So rude.”
The stairs, unsurprisingly, offered no apology. Illo was almost certain that the noise of rustling sand in their creases was laughter. Taking a deep breath, he crossed the landing, inching closer to the crooked frame on the wall.
