Little Sir Menace, tilted his head, his expression unreadable, his little fingers grasping the windowsill.
The candlefaces behind him were still yapping. One candle, its flame stubbornly flickering, let out a trembling sigh. “Unacceptable, simply unacceptable!” it muttered, but Little Sir Menace didn’t hear. Or didn’t care. Definitely didn’t care.
